On the day of our meeting, please make sure you have eaten your meal 2 hours prior to our appointment.
Yoga can be practiced on a rug or floor, but it is more pleasant on your own yoga mat. You can easily find these at affordable prices online or at stores like Target/Walmart. I personally love natural materials like those on Manduka mats that last a lifetime. Other props that are helpful are blankets, straps, and blocks. I will bring my cork blocks to facilitate support. Wear anything you love that is comfortable- sweatpants, t-shirt, leggins, etc. Our yoga session (60 or 90 minutes) will be filled with pure yoga, but I will need extra time before and after to prepare us/setup, talk about needs/intentions, and wrap up. Please plan for 30 minutes extra so that you can make the most of this yoga time with focus and relaxation. If you are on a timely schedule, please let me know ahead of time so that our extra minutes to setup/wrap up are efficiently performed.

Reiki is practiced on a massage table or chair and fully clothed. Reiki can be practiced with hands hovering 2-3 inches over the body or on the body with light touch. It is your choice which method you prefer, and both are equally medicinal and effective. The treatment can be started face down or up, depending on intentions and body ease. If you are feeling under the weather, we will need to reschedule our appointment, as it is best for the body to be relaxed and ready. Sheets, blankets, a heating pad, and eye pillow are provided for full comfort, and we can accommodate for warmth/coolness as necessary during our session. Talking is best during the beginning and end, but during our session quietness is best to allow for the greatest potential in relaxation and for meditative, theta, self-healing, relaxing brain waves to settle in and boost your healing. Of course, there are always exceptions – if we need to attend to any body need or if talking helps you relax. I will always respond to any question or need you may have during the session, but I will refrain from talking.
Essential oils/diffuser and crystals can be incorporated into your session. If you have any preferences about these extra tools, please let me know ahead of time. After Your Session
Drinking water and clean liquids like coconut water with electrolytes will help you to hydrate and detoxify, as is eating clean foods. If your schedule permits, give yourself time to integrate, ground, and rest so that you can continue to heal and carry that presence and inner peace to your day’s activities. You can always access your relaxed state you experienced by carving little moments in your busy day to close your eyes and simply tune to your breath. Even if just for 3 minutes after you wake up and before you go to sleep you perform a little meditation, it will bring more serenity and cumulative benefits. A few simple recommendations can include avoiding alcohol and other recreational drugs, reducing sugar, getting lots of rest, meditating, journaling, yoga, preventing toxic experiences in TV or with people, and postponing strenuous activities. However, always follow your medical doctor and practitioner’s guidelines and protocols and your own innate inner wisdom/discernment. Your higher self and intuition are always your truest compass.
